This is an extremely exciting, varied and challenging role which combines leadership across all areas of the school, working with inspirational teaching assistants and teachers to deliver the very best in teaching and learning to help every pupil to thrive. The role suits a forward-thinking educationalist, who is interested in researching strategies in SEND to support varied learners across our school, in collaboration with our teaching teams. Most importantly, the successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive community and will enjoy the privilege of working with excellent colleagues and wonderful children!

Qualifications and Experience:
* A holder of the national award for SEND (highly desirable)
* A qualified teacher with QTS (essential)
* An outstanding and innovative classroom practitioner
* An experienced leader
* Experience designing and innovating SEND provision in a school
* Experience leading SEND focused action research in education settings is highly desirable

Practical Skills:
* High expectations of pupils' attainment, progress and behaviour
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Plans highly effectively and has an intuitive ability to adapt learning to the learning needs of pupils of different abilities
* Regularly assesses pupils' work formally and informally, using Assessment for Learning strategies
* Confidence leading whole school training to support teachers with developing their SEND provision

Salary
A competitive salary will be offered depending on the successful candidate's skills and experience.

Hours of work
This is a full-time role, whilst the school is in session including staff Inset and training days.
