One of our exceptional independent schools based in the Tonbridge area are looking for a Head of Geography 3 days a week.

The right candidate will have a QTS (Qualified Teaching Status) and a good graduate degree in Geography.

You will also have a strong commitment to effective learning and teaching, the determination to ensure that every pupil reaches their full potential and have a positive outlook, positive attitude and be prepared to enter whole heartedly into the life of the school.

The daily duties and responsibilities of this role would be:

• Teaching and planning of lessons for pupils preparing for examinations.
• To promote and encourage pupils in their learning of Geography at all levels.
• To organise meetings for the Geography department where necessary to ensure each class and student is at the level they should be regarding the curriculum.
• To arrange and oversee Geography field trips where necessary.
• Assist in the monitoring and tracking of the pupil's progress and highlight any academic concerns.
