We are seeking 2 inspirational part-time Early Years Practitioners for a successful and flourishing independent school for students aged 2-11. The Junior School is in the heart of Sevenoaks and are seeking teaching assistants in their Early Years, Wraparound Care and Holiday Club for all pupils.
You will be working under the direction of the teacher and head of Early Years; assist the measuring, impact and evaluation of teaching and learning. You will supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
This is a year round part-time position, worked over 5 days Mon-Fri (with 30 minutes for break, which is unpaid). 30 hours per week working either early 7.00-1.30pm or late 12.00-6.30pm).
Requirements:
- Committed to the ethos, values and objectives of the school.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about the Early Years Foundation Stage
- An outstanding, experienced Early Years practitioner, encouraging pupils to give of their best and supporting them in doing so.
- Able and willing to support and engage with pupils as they learn through play.
- A team player who will work in harmony with colleagues, parents and pupils
- Knowledgeable of and experienced in independent education of the Early Years age range.
- NVQ or CACHE qualification in Childcare.
- Understanding of, and interested in, co-curricular activities to enhance curriculum provision.
- Proactive, positive, enthusiastic, flexible and have integrity.
- Forward-looking and optimistic
